Artist Statement

My ceramic practice challenges norms of beauty and value. Through experimental techniques, I explore how flaws and decay can be transformed into artistic qualities.

My work examines ceramics as both material and metaphor. By reusing and reinterpreting the broken, I create sculptures where cracks and fractures become central aesthetic elements. Pit-firing, upcycling, and traditional techniques like kintsugi serve as tools to redefine the discarded as valuable.

In a time marked by overconsumption and perfectionism, I insist on an artistic process that celebrates the unexpected and the imperfect.
